Ambulance delayed responding to scene of deadly shooting in Superior Township - WDIV ClickOnDetroit

SUPERIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A long wait for an ambulance caused confusion and frustration in Superior Township after a man was shot.

A man was shot at an apartment complex in Superior Township. First responders were frustrated that a Huron Valley EMS crew was taking so long to get to the scene so they called in an EMS crew from Canton to see who would get there first.

Darian Taylor, 30, was shot in the back and killed, according to family members. Within moments, Superior Township fire crews were on the scene giving Taylor CPR and trying to save his life. Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies were also quick to arrive.

Huron Valley Ambulance was also dispatched but did not arrive right away. The closest ambulance was on a priority call that came out just before the shooting happened.

Another Huron Valley crew was dispatched from the headquarters in Pittsfield Township. First responders were frustrated and asked for an EMS crew from Canton to come.

Huron Valley arrived in 17 minutes. Taylor was dead by the time they arrived. Taylor’s family said the gunman has not been located.

'Obsessed' Texas man eyed in ex's brutal murder kills himself at crime scene - New York Post

A 20-year-old Texas man shot dead his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend — and then returned to the scene of the crime Thursday and took his own life with a shotgun blow at a makeshift memorial for the victim, police said.

Juan Carlos Mata was wanted by authorities in connection with Lesley Reyes’ cold-blooded murder at the Oakwood Village Apartments in Pasadena, Texas when a 911 caller reported seeing him at the complex Thursday, news outlet ABC13 reported.

An officer raced to the scene, arriving there about 10 minutes after the initial call, and tried to talk to Mata, according to police.

But the 20-year-old ducked behind a parked car, grabbed a shotgun and shot himself in front of the responding cop.

He died at the scene.

It is possible that the shotgun used in Mata’s suicide was the murder weapon used in Reyes’ killing, police said.

The 19-year-old woman had been returning home from her shift at O’Reilly Auto Parts before midnight Monday when police said Mata ambushed her in the parking lot, where he had been reportedly lying in wait for hours.

The 20-year-old allegedly had words with the woman before shooting her in the head and running off.

“He didn’t want to see her with someone else,” said Lourdes Martinez, Reyes’ sister.

Reyes’ parents who were home at the time heard the gunshots.

Her mother called the 19-year-old to tell her to be careful, not knowing that it was her daughter who had just been gunned down.

Mata picked up Reyes’ phone and spoke to her mom, tearfully saying that he was sorry.

Lesley Reyes
Police said it’s possible the gun Mata used in his suicide was the same firearm used in Reyes’ murder. A ballistics investigation is underway.
Family Handout

When the woman’s parents ran outside, they found their daughter dead in the parking lot.

Police labeled Mata a person of interest in the murder and launched a manhunt for him, but he was not formally charged with any crime at the time of his suicide.

“We put out his picture out to the public, hoping that somebody would give us information,” said Sgt. Raul Granados, with the Pasadena Police Department. “We weren’t able to obtain any information; we just know that he showed up, back at the scene.”

The victim’s family said that Reyes broke up with Mata about a month ago after a year of dating, but he refused to accept the split and would send her unwanted text messages and show up at her home uninvited.

Crime scene in parking lot
Police arrived on the scene to investigate the alleged murderer after a 911 caller spotted him in a parking lot.
KTRK

Relatives described the former couple’s relationship to the station KHOU11 as “toxic” and Mata as “obsessed” with his ex.

Martinez, Reyes’ sister, claimed that Mata abused the 19-year-old while they were dating, but she only learned about it after the breakup.

Granados said that the police department’s records contain one documented instance of a disturbance involving Mata and Reyes from a year ago, but cops did not investigate any domestic violence between them.

Jason Biggs Describes 'American Pie' Scene as 'a Turning Point in My Life': 'You Just Go for It' (Exclusive) - PEOPLE

Jason Biggs is redefining his relationship with pie.

The 45-year-old actor, who is well known for that iconic scene in American Pie, has partnered with Edwards Desserts to create a pie he prefers to eat. “Apple pie and I have a very long storied history together, lots of ups and downs, mostly ups,” Biggs teases, referring to his iconic 1999 teen comedy. "But I got this opportunity to create Pie Lovers Passion Fruit with Edwards pies and it is more in line with my palate preferences.”

Filming the warm apple pie scene was something Biggs was admittedly “very nervous” to do. “I remember when I first read the script, I thought it was so great, unlike anything else I had read,” the actor tells PEOPLE. “But then the day of filming came and I had this momentary freakout where I thought, ‘Oh geez, what if no one sees this? Or what if they do see it?’ And they think, ‘What the heck did that guy do? Why would he do that? That's awful.’ My confidence waned.”

It took some reassurance from his manager for Biggs to film the scene. “I called my manager and I remember telling him like, ‘Dude, am I really about to go in there and do this with a pie? Is this porn? Am I tripping? Is this not as funny as I thought it was? Am I really going to do this?’ And he literally told me, ‘Jason, you go in there and you hump that pie with all you got,’” the Orange Is the New Black star recalls.

He continues, “I went in there and I was like, ‘Okay, 110%, here we go,’ and I did the first take and there was this quick pause and I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, what's happening?’ And all of a sudden, everyone on set burst out laughing and I thought, ‘Oh, this is amazing. This is a home run.’ And since that moment, I've never ever questioned anything. That was a turning point in my life where I was like, ‘No, if I think it's funny, you just go for it. If you fall flat on your face, so be it.’”

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

What made the scene even more enjoyable for Biggs was filming it alongside costar Eugene Levy, who plays his father in the comedy. “When people realize what I’m going to do with the pie, the visual of me with the pie is funny, but what really sells the scene, and the funniest part of the scene, I believe, is Eugene's reaction to it. That's what completes it. That's the cherry on top. And he was just so brilliant,” Biggs explains.

“I came in with Eugene for a week before we started filming, and we went through our scenes together and we improvised and we did a whole bunch of stuff. And I was young, and Eugene was already at that point, in my opinion, a legendary, comedic, improv actor. And so to sit there in this room with him and go back and forth with him, it was amazing. A lot of the stuff that we improvised in those rehearsals ended up being put into the script. Working with him was just the best, the absolute best. And he's the sweetest man.”

The scene became a legendary moment in film history, in a way that Biggs says he did not expect. “The movie as a whole, but also that scene sort of took on a life of its own, and just gained more and more momentum,” the Outmatched star explains. “It exceeded all of our expectations, obviously. I never could have imagined that almost 25 years later, I'm sitting here still talking about it, partnering with a pie company. I think that it was special and that we were part of something that was unique and filled with potential.”

As he partners with Edwards Desserts and brings his pie scene full circle, Biggs is also looking forward to his upcoming projects. “I actually have a Netflix Christmas movie that comes out this holiday season. It’s my first Christmas movie, so that’s very exciting, but I also have a couple more things up my sleeve,” the actor tells PEOPLE. “Right now, I am going to travel with my family and do some more funny spots with Edwards.”

EDWARDS Desserts

No matter what venture he takes on, Biggs will always be ‘The pie guy.’ “I just think it's hilarious that for 25 years I've been the pie guy. People ask me, ‘Oh, is it annoying? Does it get annoying when people come up to you? Does it bother you?’ And the answer is no.  It's amazing that I'm part of this iconic franchise and this iconic moment in the franchise, and I'm very proud of it. I really am. I'm so lucky, it's been the greatest gift.”

How dogs became my greatest adversary on the dating scene - The Independent

I’ve worked hard to mask my lifelong animosity towards dogs. Their barks, their smells, the way they multiplied around me during the pandemic and filled my local parks with their poops. But two things recently have left me feeling like I’m the one in the doghouse. Firstly, following a long, excellent first date with someone I met on an app, after walks, wine, overshares and snogs, I was told the next day by text that she ultimately couldn’t see me fitting into her busy life as a “dog mum”. I’d been c**k-blocked by a cocker spaniel. Yet being in a degrading man-woman-dog love triangle wasn’t the final straw – it was finance, not romance. Recently someone told me, in the context of a possible career change, that dog care in a bougie neighbourhood nearby in East London costs around £40 a day. In my slightly fragile, single and insecure state, the idea that someone would spend hard cash on a dog, yet not want to spend time with me left me rattled. I was snubbed and thus obsessed with my canine opponents. I had to find out more.

A quick Google showed that over in west London, “doggy daycare” can cost up to £60 per day. Sure, the facilities at some places across the UK sounded hilarious – some have “spas” and chill-out areas, some have trampolines – but the economics were the starkest part. This was an expense on a par with childcare, which on average costs Londoners £182.50 for 25 hours a week for toddlers. The same amount of supervision at a west London doggy daycare centre would cost a mind-melting £1,500. For – let me just reiterate – a dog.

As a parent of two human children, I didn’t explode in righteousness when my date described herself as a “dog mum”. I think owning a dog is different from parenting a child, but I also know that using terms like “Dog Dad” or “Plant Mum” is part of the inescapable Etsy-fication of our lives, where we’re encouraged to boil ourselves down to slogans that can go on a T-shirt or a “Live Laugh Love”-style sign as a way of fending off the agonising emptiness of modern life. But semantics aside, it was clear to me that dogs were getting all the money and all the babes. I needed to understand my opponent a little better.

I remembered that an old friend from school called Sam was working with dogs, in a capacity I’d never quite understood, so I got back in contact – expecting him to tell me such prices were an anomaly. “£40 a day? I charge £30 per hour,” was his jaw-dropping reply. So I arranged to meet Sam, who is in fact both a dog trainer and a walker, one morning to accompany him on his rounds in the residential areas near Old Street and Farringdon. We met in the shadows of a gleaming trio of luxury high-rises, which he surmised probably has the highest concentration of dog owners anywhere on the planet. He had pleasingly bonkers insights into the financial extremes people will go to for their pooches: the owner who had recently installed a £500 air-con unit for their sausage dog, the one who had spent £30,00 on a bionic leg, and another who had spent £50,000 on brain surgery. Some have birthday parties with games and food; one lucky dog has seven whole beds. I found it all delightful and terrifying at the same time, like a Kinder Egg filled with anthrax.

But what I wasn’t expecting was that I’d be so damn charmed by his own relationship with dogs. Sam is 6ft 8 and has more charisma than a million awards shows. He currently has a full client list, but whenever there’s a lull, he simply heads to a park with his own dog, Callum, and casually does a few tricks with him. Dog lovers flock to talk to him, and he’s set. Even on our modest rounds, he’s asked for a business card, while cafe owners and other locals stop and greet his charges by name. He lives a charmed life and engenders respect. And sure, maybe that’s not surprising for someone who, in his words, is “one inch away from technically being a giant”. But it’s his patent dedication to dogs and the psychology of dog ownership that looms even larger. While some of his clients didn’t even know their dogs needed to be walked before they bought them, as a trainer Sam is able to assess even the most difficult dogs and work with them until they exist in harmony with their owner and their owner’s lifestyle. Watching his ease and command with dogs was genuinely magnetic, it made a real impact on me.

And yet, even a pro like Sam still thinks the world’s gone a bit dog mad. There’s of course a problem with a society where wealthy dogs are leading better lives than struggling humans in the same city. My favourite subtle experience of this was seeing a young, discretely affluent couple getting on a train in a once working-class neighbourhood, a whippet in tow. The train was packed solid, yet the dog had a bandana loudly exclaiming “I NEED SPACE”. Which felt a little huffy, amongst tired, sardined humans just trying to get home from work. Beyond the wild economics of it all, there’s also the resource of time. Young, child-free couples who sabotage their social life in the name of dog daddying, for example. Or couples who break up, move to different towns, yet still meet twice a week to hand over their shared-custody canine – in a lay-by that once upon a time, ironically, might have been a dogging hotspot.

But having someone explain the psychology of dog owning helped me understand that all of this madness – and I do reserve the right to call it madness – is at least born out of a clear sense of love for a fellow sentient being. Occasionally cute ones, at that. Plus, nobody would spend all this money and bag the warm faeces of something which didn’t, in some small way, give love back. It’s a lifestyle choice that I’ve perhaps been a bit judgemental towards, based too long on the glaring inequalities of the city I’ve lived in all my life. But seeing first-hand how much joy they spread on Sam’s rounds alone made me feel quite stupid for being quite so negative for so long. Next week, I’m meeting Sam’s dog Callum. Maybe I’ll even ask to see a trick or two. Dogs: I humbly accept you are a worthy adversary.

Disney's Carousel of Progress New "Woke" Scene Enrages Fans - Disney Dining

Disney World is reportedly making some modifications to the Carousel of Progress attraction at Magic Kingdom Park in an effort to make the experience less offensive, but many say the changes are anything but progress.

RELATED: Tom Hanks to Be the New Voice of Disney’s Carousel of Progress Attraction

When General Electric approached Walt Disney about the prospect of creating attractions for its pavilion at the New York World’s Fair, Walt was thrilled to be collaborating yet again with the innovative company. Disney and GE had previously worked on plans for an extension of Main Street, U. S. A., at Disneyland, called Edison’s Square. Ultimately, the idea was scrapped as the technology necessary to bring Walt’s ideas for the expansion to fruition simply wasn’t available at that time. But he never completely forgot about it and used his plans for Edison’s Square as the inspiration for one of the four attractions he contributed to the General Electric pavilion during the Fair.

The rekindled Disney-General Electric partnership led to the development of four attractions: it’s a small world, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Ford’s Magic Skyway, and the Carousel of Progress. The 1964-65 New York World’s Fair was held in Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, New York, from April to October 1964 and again from April to October 1965. Housed inside the General Electric pavilion called”Progressland,” the Carousel of Progress attraction opened on April 22, 1964, to inquisitive fairgoers, and the response was overwhelming. The attraction accommodated approximately 200 visitors every four minutes. It was so popular, however, that despite the quick turnaround, it was not uncommon for eager guests to wait more than an hour in line for the attraction–many in the brutal heat of late spring and summer.

For the second season of the World’s Fair in 1965, a covered queue was built adjacent to the General Electric pavilion on an open lot in an effort to keep visitors out of the sometimes scorching sun, as Disney’s Carousel of Progress was equally as popular as it had been the year before, and wait times were sometimes high.

A Unique Stage Show Experience

The attraction features a unique stage show with various acts, each one performed on a different part of a stationary stage that is partitioned off from the rest of the stage. At the end of each act, the audience seating area rotates around the stage, much like a carousel. (Hence, the name “Carousel” of Progress.) The show made use of animatronic human figures that moved in sync with a recorded script. Each act highlighted electricity and its effects on man’s progress over the years. In the original version, the acts took place in the 1880s, 1920s, 1940s, and 1964, the first year of the New York World’s Fair. It was so popular that following the conclusion of the fair, Disney had the massive attraction dismantled and moved across the country to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where it opened to park Guests in July 1967.

The Carousel of Progress wowed Guests at Disneyland until 1973, when it was closed so that it could be moved to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park, where it reopened in 1975. Then in 1993, it was renamed “Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress” to honor Walt. The attraction today is a 21-minute production with the same premise—a look at the role electricity and technology have played in man’s progress, though a few minor changes have been made over the years, most of them barely noticeable.

Are Controversial Changes Coming?

But some extremely noticeable changes are reportedly on their way for Disney’s Carousel of Progress–changes that many Guests see as less about progress and more about appeasing the so-called masses. According to the satirical report, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom will soon close to allow for a revamping of the final act of the stage show presentation. But the changes are being touted by some as extremely woke and even disrespectful to Walt Disney.

The presentation is comprised of four different acts, each one taking place in a different time period during the 20th century: springtime at the turn of the century, summertime in the 1920s, fall in the fabulous 1940s, and Christmastime in “the future,” though the date in the final scene isn’t specified. In 2023, however, the futuristic fourth scene is full of things from the past, including VR devices used for video games and a voice-activated oven.

And while many Guests agree that the scene for the final act is very outdated, major controversy is brewing over Disney’s proposed changes to the scene, which are reportedly happening as part of Disney’s efforts to not only update the experience but also to make it more relevant and inclusive. Current plans include setting the updated scene in the early 22nd century, but in a way that is considered controversial by many.

The current show depicts the family celebrating Christmas in the final scene, but Disney wants to see the family celebrating in “a more diverse, inclusive, and representative way.” The scene will take place during wintertime, as in the current version of the show. But instead of celebrating Christmas, the family will celebrate many holidays, including Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ashura, and Diwali, in addition to Christmas.

In addition to the multi-holiday celebration, changes will reportedly take place among Disney’s animatronic humans in the scene. Patricia, the daughter of John and Sarah, will become the first-ever transgender animatronic at Disney World. Though the character has historically been referred to as “Patricia” or “Patty,” the revamp of the scene will have the character referred to as “he/him” and “Pat,” as the name is interchangeable and can serve as a male or female name.

An Audio-Animatronic man and dog sit in a house with the latest conveniences of the 1920s

A new animatronic will be added to the scene as well. Jimmy, the son of the Carousel of Progress family, will be joined by an audio-animatronic young man whose name is not known at this time. The new character will function as Jimmy’s boyfriend in the final scene of the stage show, allowing Disney to  The new character will be a young man who is Jimmy’s boyfriend in the scene. The addition of a new member of the family allows Disney to add diversity and a greater sense of inclusion to the nearly 60-year-old attraction originally created by Walt Disney himself.

, Fab History: Round and Round With Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

“The new scene update is proving to be controversial,” a report about the changes reads in part. “The Walt Disney Company continues to make decisions based on diversity, equity, and inclusion, rather than creating value for shareholders.”

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress has had more performances than any other stage show in the history of American theater, as Guests of the parks will recall from the script for the show, leading many to ask why Disney would make changes to such a wildly popular experience in the parks, especially one that came from the creativity and genius of Walt himself. Others are angry that such changes are being added when the focus of the attraction is the technological progress experienced throughout the years, not the religious affiliation, sexual identity, or sexual preferences of the fictional family in the attraction.

What do you think about these changes to the attraction? And how does it make you feel to read here that these “changes” are not actually planned for the Carousel of Progress, but rather, a satirical and hypothetical look at the types of changes that could be a possibility in the future–but haven’t even been talked about by Disney as of the time of this publication. The report referenced above was written as a satirical piece and is not part of legitimate Disney Parks news at this time.

Jennifer Lawrence admits she shot Don't Look Up scene whilst high - Marca English

One of the most acclaimed actresses in the film industry and one of the most successful in the world, Jennifer Lawrence, is on a roll. The artist is releasing No Hard Feelings, but she has also been on the front page of some media for her latest declarations where she claims to have filmed a recent scene under the influence of drugs.

In her latest work, of which she is also a producer, she plays the role of a woman who is going through a difficult economic situation and therefore accepts an unusual work proposal.

Jennifer Lawrence has to be the luxury companion of a very introverted young man, played by Andrew Barth Feldman, and she has to wake him up before his entrance to the university.

Jennifer Lawrence and her experiment in 'Don't Look Up'

Another of the actress' latest works was 'Don't Look Up', the famous Netflix film. Both are in the comedy genre, where Lawrence is in her element. In the 2021 film, Lawrence played the role of an astronomer who warns of the arrival of a comet on Earth that will completely destroy the planet and despairs at the inaction of the world's population.

Next to her was another astronomer in fiction, Leonardo DiCaprio. In 'Don't Look Up' there is a scene where Lawrence smokes a bit of marijuana to de-stress after giving the news to the media, and she thought that to give her performance more realism, she should be really stoned. The film's director, Adam McKay, told Scren Rat in an interview that "her character is really stoned".

"Jen said, 'Are you going to allow me some improv?' That's what we always do. And I said, 'Sure, you can do drugs,'" the director said. Lawrence, meanwhile, recalled, "Everybody was picking on me, I guess because I was high. I was easy to pick on."

Jennifer Lawrence No Hard Feelings Fight Scene Is One of Its Best Moments - ComingSoon.net

The Jennifer Lawrence No Hard Feelings fight scene is one of the comedy movie‘s best moments.

Lawrence stars as Maddie, a woman working as an Uber driver who faces bankruptcy once her car is repossessed. She accepts a Craiglist posting where two parents want her to date their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he goes off to college in exchange for a Buick Regal.

No Hard Feelings has many hilarious scenes, but one scene stands out as the one that solidifies Lawrence as a bona fide comedic actress. After Maddie and Percy go skinny dipping, three people steal their clothes. Maddie gets out of the water and fights them all completely naked, getting their clothes back.

The No Hard Feelings fight scene is one of the film’s most outrageous moments, as Lawrence goes full frontal as she battles these people and gets kicked in the groin at one point. It serves as a showcase of her commitment to the film’s raunchy material, as No Hard Feelings is one of the only R-rated theatrical comedies to release this year.

When is the No Hard Feelings release date?

No Hard Feelings will release on Friday, June 23, 2023.

The cast includes Jennifer Lawrence, Andrew Barth Feldman, Matthew Broderick, Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Jennifer Lawrence had no hesitation over nude fight scene in No Hard Feelings - Digital Spy

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she did not hesitate over her nude fight scene in her new movie, the romantic comedy No Hard Feelings.

The film follows Lawrence's character, a 32-year old Uber driver in need of a new car who makes a deal to date a socially-awkward 19-year old as he gets ready to head off to college.

One of the film's biggest scenes is where our two leads go skinny dipping, but their clothes are stolen, and Lawrence's character Maddie decides to fight to get their clothes back, despite being naked at the time.

Recounting what it was like when the scene was pitched, Lawrence told Variety: "Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, 'Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?'

"I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me."

Fellow lead Andrew Barth Feldman, who plays Percy, added: "Every situation that these characters end up in, you’re laughing your butt off. We became so close instantly that nothing ever felt weird or unsafe. It was entirely professional.

"I felt it was an exclusively sterile and professional environment."

The film has received mixed reviews from critics, with some stating that despite its edgy premise, the film actually plays it too safe to make an impact. However, there's an argument that the film isn't actually the raunchy sex comedy that it was marketed as, but a sweet film about confidence and coming out of one's shell.

Elsewhere during promotion for the new romcom, Lawrence revealed that she was "immediately" turned down for a role in Twilight.

No Hard Feelings is out in United Kingdom and Untied States cinemas now.

Christopher Nolan Finally Explains Inception's Ending Scene After 13 Years - MovieWeb

Christopher Nolan is well known for leaving some of his audiences scratching their heads after leaving his movies. Probably the biggest of these was his 2010 movie Inception. The mind-busting movie involved its own kind of multiverse, with the central plot focusing on a heist that happens in many levels of a dream state reality, and the ending sees lead star Leonardo DiCaprio seemingly getting a happy ending with his family. Fans of the movie have frequently questioned exactly what they are seeing in the final moments of the film, questioning whether the ending is real or just another level of the dream. Now, Nolan has cleared up what the ending of the movie means…sort of.

Currently on the promotion tour for his latest movie Oppenheimer, Nolan explained what he believes audiences should take from the final scene of the movie that managed to make everyone question what was real and what was not. He told Wired:

"I mean, the end of Inception, it's exactly that. There is a nihilistic view of that ending, right? But also, he's moved on and is with his kids. The ambiguity is not an emotional ambiguity. It's an intellectual one for the audience."

Related: Christopher Nolan Warns That Oppenheimer Is 'Kind of a Horror Movie'

Does Inception’s Ending Being Real Matter?

Warner Bros. Pictures

Like many movies, Inception is a film that requires a certain amount of concentration to ever be able to keep up with what is happening. There are so many twists and turns in the plot, that the film required multiple viewings to even begin to understand which sequences were real and which were based in the subconscious.

In many ways similar to the “time heist” of Avengers: Endgame, DiCaprio’s character Cobb has to pull off a “dream heist” in order to allow him to be born again in limbo and allow him to be reunited with his children, who he has been separated from for being a wanted man. Having “cleared” his name, Cobb is given his happy ending, but the end of his journey is one that is easy to interpret in a number of ways.

While Nolan has now explained his thoughts on what the ending means and how it should be viewed, in the end Inception is a movie that is as much about the journey as it is the ending. Everyone is still free to interpret Cobb’s final scene as they wish, and although there will be some who are satisfied to know how Nolan intended the scene to play out, there are others who will still not be convinced that everything they saw was still all just part of Inception’s complex dream reality.

For Nolan, he has been moving on in his career through various other movies since the release of Inception, and his latest, Oppenheimer, is almost certain to be a contender for any number of awards in the next year. This time around, the story is much more straightforward to follow, but also much more devastating to watch. You can catch Oppenheimer in theaters from July 21.

Netizens call Adipurush's battle scene a 'copy-paste' version of The Avengers - timesofindia.com

The heavy criticism against Adipurush is growing with each passing day. The Om Raut directorial has faced an outright rejection from the audience for making a mockery of the ancient Indian epic Ramayana. While several Hindu organisations have called for a ban, netizens are now accusing the makers of Adipurush for making a 'copy-paste' battle version of Marvel's 2012 flick The Avengers.
Many people have noticed the stark similarities between Adipurush and The Avengers battle scene. They have been sharing the videos on social media and people are having a field day over it.
In the Adipurush scene, Prabhas as Lord Ram along with Sunny Singh as Lakshman, Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman and Sugriva are seen getting ready to battle the army of Ravana played by Saif Ali Khan. As the camera pans, all the characters can be seen taking their weapons out while Sugriva gives a loud roar to the enemies.
The video has now gone viral on several social media platforms.
Meanwhile, Adipurush has witnessed a major drop in its box office collection owing to the nationwide uproar. The total collection of the film currently stands at Rs 375 crore gross globally.

On the other hand, All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded a ban on Adipurush by calling the film a complete disaster of their faith in Shri Ram and Ramayan.

Logging truck driver damages Kirksville car wash leaves scene - ktvo.com

UPDATE: Sgt. Matt Kellison from the Kirksville Police Department said that after KTVO posted this story on its website and Facebook page, the insurance agent for the driver of the logging truck recognized the vehicle and called his client, who is from the New Boston, Mo., area, telling him he better contact the owner of the car wash and tell him about the damage.

Kellison said the car wash owner did not want to press charges as long as the driver's insurance company pays for the damage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ORIGINAL STORY: Police are asking for the public's help to find the person who left behind property damage at a Kirksville car wash.

It happened at about 9:45 a.m. Monday at the Splash and Dash Car Wash on South Osteopathy Street.

Kirksville police say a logging truck did not splash but ended up dashing.

Investigators are trying to find out who owns the truck, which was captured by a surveillance camera.

The car wash owner says a similar incident happened last Monday.

A box truck damaged the entrance to another bay at the car wash. That driver was later located.

If anyone knows who did this Monday's damage, they are asked to call the Kirksville Police Department at 660-785-6945.

The Flash: Post-Credits Scene and Ending Explained - IGN

Let's make this simple: Do you want to know if there’s a post-credits scene in The Flash? We’ll tell you right here: The film has one post-credits scene and no mid-credits scene.

Don't read any further if you want to avoid spoilers!

Here's where to watch The Flash with streaming info if you're not catching it in theaters.

Does every problem have a solution? The Flash movie does its best to find out, as Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen zooms all over the multiverse, meets several surprising faces, faces some harsh realities, and ushers in what’s next for DC’s cinematic universe.

Directed by Andy Muschietti, the thirteenth and penultimate film of what we know as the DCEU (not including Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League!) re-writes reality for all of your favorite DC characters. We’re going to break all of that down and what it means for the future of DC, as well as what the deal is with The Flash’s after-the-credits scene. Grab whatever super-suit materials you can find and run with us here!

The Flash Trailer Images

The Flash’s Ending Explained

The Flash culminates in a battle we’ve seen before, if not quite like this. Because Barry has traveled back to a distorted version of 2013, he and his new allies find themselves fighting to save the world from General Zod and his Kryptonian army. Just like in Man of Steel, Zod (Michael Shannon) wants to terraform Earth and make it into a new Krypton. And shockingly, Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl both die defending the planet.

The Flash deals a lot with the concept of fixed points - critical moments in the timeline that can’t easily be undone. Here, the Barry and the younger version of himself from 2013 hit a major roadblock when they discover that Batman and Supergirl’s deaths are another fixed point in time. No matter how fast he runs, Future Barry can’t stop his friends from being brutally killed during Zod’s attack. Unfortunately, Kara and Bruce seem destined to die here no matter what. And as Barry races through the Speed Force, he glimpses other worlds in the DC multiverse, leading to cameos of iconic DC heroes like Christopher Reeve’s Superman, Adam West’s Batman and Helen Slater’s Supergirl. And Nic Cage’s Superman is there, too.

That truth about fixed points is what ultimately drives Past Barry insane, as he breaks away and winds up spending decades in the Speed Force trying to prevent the inevitable. That ordeal warps him into the Dark Flash, as he becomes aged and covered in pieces of shrapnel picked up from various attempts to right the battle. The Dark Flash decides that Future Barry has to die so that their mother can live. But Past Barry sacrifices himself to save Future Barry, wiping the Dark Flash out of existence in the process.

This is what prompts Future Barry to finally accept that some things can’t be changed and that he needs to undo his time meddling. He restores the DCEU to how it previously existed (give or take one Bruce Wayne), but we never actually see Sasha Calle’s Supergirl or Keaton’s Batman after that point. The film doesn’t definitively reveal what happened to these characters after the timeline was fixed.

Now let’s get to the emotional final moments of the movie, and what the last scene actually means for everything going forward.

Barry comes to understand that his mother’s death is a fixed point in time, and by changing it, he creates the Past Barry who would go on to become Dark Flash. To undo his own paradox, he must allow his mother to die. He goes back to the past again, just after he originally slipped the tomato can into her cart, and pulls it back out, but not before sharing one final emotional moment with his mother, knowing he is sending her to her sudden and painful doom. He does change one thing, though. He moves all the tomato cans to a shelf where, when his father goes to grab one, his face will be seen by the security camera, thus exonerating him of the murder in the current timeline.

To undo his own paradox, he must allow his mother to die.

Back in the present, Barry walks out of his father’s successful retrial and talks on the phone to Bruce, who’s congratulating him, and just happens to be pulling up in his very fancy car. And then we see Bruce – now played by Batman & Robin’s George Clooney instead of Ben Affleck. Oh no. Barry Butterfly Effected his world again and now he’s stuck with the hands-down worst Batman. But hey, at least no one is trying to terraform the planet anymore…

The Flash’s Post-Credits Scene Explained

So where is Barry now? What else is different? The post-credits scene isn’t super helpful in unraveling this further.

The post-credits scene shows that at least Jason Momoa’s Aquaman/Arthur Curry is more or less the same in this new timeline. We see the two heroes leaving a bar in the middle of the night, where Barry has presumably explained the multiverse to him and Arthur has presumably gotten stinking drunk to make his technobabble palatable.

Barry tries to get drunk Aquaman up to sleep in his apartment in Central City, but Aquaman is much happier in a filthy puddle in the street. This scene serves as a reminder: Changing points in time can shift some things wildly and some things not at all. Aquaman doesn't change. Which adds further fuel to rumors that Jason Momoa is still playing the character in James Gunn’s DCU.

George Clooney’s Batman and How The Flash Resets the DC Movie Timeline

And that’s… it. There’s nothing after the final credits. But let’s get back to what’s most interesting here: The ending perfectly carves an opening for Gunn’s creative reboot of the DC Cinematic Universe

As we leave the last moments of the film proper, George Clooney is Bruce Wayne, not Ben Affleck. This means that Barry is not actually in the same exact point where he started this movie; he’s in a slightly divergent timeline. Does this imply the Batman & Robin movie timeline is essentially where he landed? With Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze?

What about Alicia Silverstone’s Batgirl… is she maybe Oracle now? Chris O’Donnell is Robin but probably in the Nightwing stage of his life? Could Bat Skates, Bat Credit Cards, Bat Nips, and Uma Thurman’s over-the-top acting still exist here???

Getting over all that, the bigger implication here is that Gunn now absolutely has the space to either shift or redefine the main DC Cinematic timeline thanks to Flash’s Flashpoint-esque meddling.

The movie universe reset will make perfect sense, moving away from what is essentially the Snyderverse over to Gunn’s new vision and explaining it all through the various timeline meddling points in this movie. We could easily still be in the same universe as before, but with this Barry’s meddling, now we see a different Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman. Everyone, at any point in their lives, can be different because of what Barry shifted with the whole tomato can debacle.

DC Universe: Every Upcoming Movie and TV Show

The Barry we’ve been following is essentially not where he started, also leaving room to even recast Ezra Miller. If many different actors playing Batman and Superman can all exist and make sense in one context, why not Flash too? It would require another timeline divergence, but that bell has certainly been rung now. At the same time, we know some actors will remain the same, like Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad/Peacemaker crew. As Barry tells Arthur, some people look the same in every timeline or universe.

The Flash movie literally makes any version possible going forward. They can easily recast everyone, leave one or two actors in place, adjust the relative ages of different heroes or shift the circumstances of the world. The door is wide open for anything to make sense in the upcoming Superman: Legacy.

The door is wide open for anything to make sense in the upcoming Superman: Legacy.

But what did you think of The Flash? Will Ezra Miller’s Barry return? Is there a chance Michael Keaton’s Batman and Kara Zor-el could pop up again, and what will they remember? Also, are you interested in some leftover pasta? Let us know down in the comments.

For more, check out every cameo in The Flash, learn exactly how The Flash time travel works and see how Keaton's Batman went from flop to phenomenon.
