Rebel Wilson blasts 'a–hole' Sacha Baron Cohen for releasing sex scene footage - Yahoo Entertainment

Rebel Wilson is calling Sacha Baron Cohen’s decision to release behind-the-scenes footage of their sex scene “an a–hole move,” after never-before-seen video from the set of the 2016 film “The Brothers Grimsby” was published Friday by the Daily Mail.

“Releasing unauthorized and misleading behind-the-scenes video without my approval is SBC’s latest way of bullying and gaslighting me,” the 44-year-old actress said in a statement to multiple outlets.

The newly released footage shows Wilson appearing to collaborate on the sex scene and discussing the choreography with Cohen — which he and producers claim she approved of after reading the script and before shooting began.

It appears to be the same scene Wilson has referenced in recent weeks, claiming Cohen pressured her into performing lewd acts.

The Australian actress can be heard talking with Cohen in the clip, saying, “I’ll do a slap [of your butt] and I’ll do a – going down the crack,” to which Cohen replies, “It’s almost as if you’re going to ram your fingers inside.”

Wilson then answers simply, “Yeah.”

But the actress claims the footage is taken out of context, and left out “everything that preceded it including [her] horrified refusal” when Cohen initially asked her to stick her finger in his rectum.

Wilson recently revealed Cohen to be the “a—hole” she references in her upcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising,” which drops Tuesday.

In the book, she reportedly claims that the events which transpired on the “Grimsby” set were not consensual and that Cohen once even pulled his pants down in front of her, completely unprompted.

Now, Cohen and his representatives are reportedly trying to keep the book from being published.

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby,” Cohen’s reps told BBC News and other outlets in a statement.

For her part, Wilson has said she will not let Cohen stand in her way.

“I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers,” she wrote to her Instagram story on March 24.

Video: Take a look at Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor rehearsing their 'Road House' fight scene - MMA Junkie

The long-awaited “Road House” reboot starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor finally released March 21 on Prime Video, and suffice to say the reviews have been mixed.

After 10 days, the reimagining of the 1989 cult classic with Patrick Swayze has garnered a 59 percent critics score and a 55 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, while IMDb users have rated it a respectable 6.2 out of 10. On MMA Junkie’s list of The best (and worst!) MMA movies of all time, it ranks No. 5.

Perhaps this highlighted “Audience Says” line from Rotten Tomatoes best sums it up:

“Road House” can sometimes be so bad it’s good, but more often, the uneven acting and ridiculous story are just disappointing.

As for this writer’s rating? In a vacuum, it’s a terrible film. But also, it’s not that bad for what it is if you catch my drift.

In any case, regardless of any criticism of the film as a whole, what is cool about “Road House” are the fight scenes, including the final showdown between former UFC fighter Dalton (Gyllenhaal) and the completely obnoxious Knox (McGregor). While McGregor, the UFC’s biggest star, went into filming with a humble approach given this was his first major acting role, you would expect him to have quite a bit of input on his fight scenes.

Which he did, as you can see from this video of rehearsal McGregor shared on Instagram:

Whether a film is good or bad, movie magic is still movie magic, and that’s always cool to watch behind the scenes.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Post-Credits Scene Check-In (No Spoilers) - IGN

Are you wondering if Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has any mid- or post-credits scenes? We'll tell you right here: No, the movie doesn't have any scenes after the credits.

Be sure to check back here on Friday for a full spoiler breakdown of GxK!

The latest entry in Legendary's MonsterVerse series, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has arrived in theaters. Following 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong, a big question surrounding the movie has been how the ante can be upped now that the Big G and the Big K have (mostly) ironed out their differences in that previous film. But ah, there's always another scary kaiju to deal with, isn't there? And that's how you wind up getting your favorite kaiju running...

The film stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, and Godzilla and King Kong, of course, as everyone -- humans and giant monsters alike -- must deal with a new threat from deep inside the Hollow Earth...

We'll dive into a full discussion on the film's ending and what it could mean for the future of the franchise with director Adam Wingard on Friday, so check back on this page then. But in the meantime, read our GxK review, or check out The Great Godzilla x Kong Debate, where Wingard and the film's stars dig in on who the real King of the Monsters is.

Does Godzilla x Kong Have a Post-Credits Scene?

As mentioned above, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire does not have a mid- or post-credits scene, which is kind of surprising actually, considering the shared universe in which the film is set and the previous entries in the series which have often teased what was coming next.

What did you think of The New Empire? Let's discuss in the comments! And check back tomorrow for our full spoiler breakdown of the film.

Steven Spielberg Calls 'Dune: Part Two' Sandworm Scene 'One of the Greatest Things I've Ever Seen' - IndieWire

Steven Spielberg can’t stop thinking about Timothée Chalamet atop a sandworm in Denis Villeneuve‘s “Dune: Part Two.”

The director praised Villeneuve during an installment of the DGA’s “Director’s Cut” podcast, where Spielberg welcomed Villeneuve to the club of filmmakers who are the “builders of worlds” onscreen.

“It’s an honor for me to sit here and talk to you. Let me start by saying there are filmmakers who are the builders of worlds. It’s not a long list and we know who a lot of them are,” Spielberg said. “Starting with [Georges] Méliès and Disney and Kubrick, George Lucas. Ray Harryhausen, I include in that list. [Frederico] Fellini built his own worlds. Tim Burton. Obviously Wes Anderson, Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, Guillermo del Toro. The list goes on but it’s not that long of a list, and I deeply, fervently believe that you are one of its newest members.”

Related Stories

Why was Spielberg so particularly compelled to anoint Villeneuve into this sacred club? Well, it turns out Villeneuve’s vision for the sequence where hero Paul (Chalamet) rides a sandworm propelled his filmography over the threshold, per Spielberg.

“This is a desert-loving story, but for such a desert-loving film there is such a yearning for water in this movie. For all the sand you have in this film, it’s really about water. The sacred waters that are yearning for green meadows and the blue water of life. You film the desert to resemble an ocean, a sea,” Spielberg said. “The sandworms were like sea serpents. And that scene surfing the sandworms is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Ever! But you made the desert look like a liquid.”

Villeneuve previously told IndieWire’s Anne Thompson that the sandworm scene was “not easy” to shoot.

“Everything that we shot in the deep desert was not easy because I wanted a level of realism that required us to create giant structures or shadow makers in order to make the light believable,” Villeneuve said. “The characters and all the action sequences required a tremendous amount of prep, and logistics to protect the crew from the heat and to protect the stunts. The one scene that I didn’t want to compromise at all was the worm ride. It technically required a lot of time and research and development. That was by far one of the most complex things I’ve ever done.”

Production built 18 miles of eco-friendly roads in the Jordan desert to transport film gear and build basecamps. Villeneuve credited Oscar-winning cinematographer Greig Fraser for selecting which sand dunes to capture in the futuristic sci-fi space-set film.

“You are surrounded by thousands of sand dunes. And why are you choosing that specific one that is two miles in the desert? It’s all about the shape, and it had to match Greig’s specification for light,” Villeneuve said. “It’s like a puzzle to find the right location even in the ocean of sand dunes. Nature is specific, and it took us a while to find all the right locations.”

Man accused of impersonating firefighter at scene of fatal fire in Morganton - WSOC Charlotte

MORGANTON, N.C. — A man has been accused of impersonating a firefighter at the scene of a deadly house fire in Morganton early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after midnight, the Morganton Department of Public Safety responded to a fire at a duplex on Morehead Street.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a neighbor, dressed in New York City Fire Department turn-out gear, attempting to put out the fire with a garden hose.

Firefighters said they attempted to take over, but the man refused to leave the property or allow professionals to begin ground operations.

Eventually, the man, 37-year-old Christopher Victor Miglino, was arrested.

He was ultimately charged with resisting, delaying, or obstructing a public officer, impersonating a firefighter or medical personnel, and violating a city ordinance.

Miglino was also convicted of burning a building under construction in Mitchell County in 2007.

His wife told Channel 9′s Dave Faherty that Miglino is a former firefighter with the New York City Fire Department, and he was trying to keep the flames away from their home.

She said she doesn’t feel like he should be charged.

“No, absolutely not. He was just trying to take care of our family. And to make sure everybody next door was OK. He used to be a New York fireman. He runs outside to see those apartments in flames,” she explained.

However, a spokesperson with the New York City Fire Department said they did not have anyone with the name Miglino who has ever been employed at the department.

Miglino is being held without bond until his court date in April.

Officials believe the person who died in the fire was Yvonne Jamison, however, they still need positive identification from the autopsy to confirm that.

Morganton firefighters found the origin of the fire but have not determined the cause.

The investigation is ongoing.
