Connecticut beer lovers have something to look forward to in 2020—two things actually.
Southern Connecticut is looking to welcome a couple new breweries in the coming months. Stamford's popular Half Full brewery is opening a second location at 575 Pacific St. in the South End Stamford this year.
“When you give people in Stamford things to do, they come out in mass,” Half Full founder and “chief hoptimist” Conor Horrigan told CT Insider. “Stamford could be the best second city there is; it has access to New York City and it’s its own urban environment with music, art and beer.”

Over in Milford, Dockside Brewery hopes to be open by St. Patrick's Day.
The brewery is expected to have up to 40 beer tap lines for the 4,000-square-foot taproom. Ten lines will be dedicated to in-house brews while the remainder would server a mix of beers from other brewers in the area. It will also feature waterside seating and decks overlooking the river along with two renovated docks where boaters can pull in from the river.
These location will add to the 100 breweries the state has accumulated since 2012 when the craft brew scene really blew up in the state.
