After a dramatic episode that reveals (no spoilers here) exactly who killed James "Ghost" St. Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick), the Power series finale had one more surprise in store for fans—a flashback mid-credits scene. This scene, set in a Queens high school in 1996, featured a young Angela, Tommy and Ghost or, as Angela called him, "Jamie," and saw Angela tell Ghost that she was looking at moving to a fancy prep school—a move that arguably sets up the entire plot of Power on Starz, which started with drug dealer James meeting federal agent Angela in modern-day NYC.
Some fans may have recognized the scene, as before Power Season 6, Episode 15 aired, it was making its rounds across social media as an alleged leaked scene from a young Tommy, Jamie and Angela spin-off, though it seems now that it was always intended as a coda to the Power finale that tied up the action by taking us to the point where everything began.
That does not mean, however, that the intent of the scene is not to set up a prequel series. One of the two Power spin-offs that have been commissioned by Starz so far is Power Book III: Raising Kanan, a prequel set around the character played by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in Power who died in Season 5.

Initially, this series was thought to start in 1988, but in recent interviews 50 Cent has confirmed that the show has been pushed into the 1990s. As such, this mid-credits scene could be the first glimpse we are getting of this spin-off series.
There is some evidence in the scene that this is the case. It is set in the 1990s in Queens, where Raising Kanan is to be based, and Kanan himself is mentioned by name at the opening of the scene by Tommy, suggesting that it is leading to a prequel that sees Kanan mentoring a young Tommy and Jamie.
The casting of this scene may also be a clue. Young Tommy, for example, has been identified as Ethan Cutkosky, known for playing Carl Gallagher in Showtime's Shameless. That series coming to an end sometime this year, which means the actor could be free to join the cast of another show. It also could be seen as strange for the Power crew to cast an actor that is recognizable from a hugely popular show for just a single scene unless the intention was to then bring them back in a series.
Starz, however, has been tight-lipped about the future Power spin-offs, probably to keep attention on the series finale of the original show and so no spoilers are accidentally revealed about who survived Season 6. However, now that Power is over, more details are sure to be revealed about both Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book II: Ghost.
Power Season 6 is streaming now on the Starz app.
