BRIDGEPORT — Officials are on the scene of a fire in the 800 block of North Avenue, according to Scott Appleby, the city’s emergency communications director.
A call about the fire came in shortly before 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Appleby said.
The Bridgeport Fire Department has sent about 10 units to the scene, and members of the police department and American Medical Response are assisting them, Appleby said.
The fire is impacting the second floor residential section of a commercial property, according to Appleby.
There were no reported injuries as of 9:45 a.m., Appleby said.
