Helicopter at scene of Waihī Beach emergency - New Zealand Herald

Two ambulances and a rescue helicopter are at the scene of an emergency at Waihī Beach.

A St John spokeswoman said medics were called at 4.22pm.

They are treating one person in a serious condition and were still at the scene off Seaforth Rd at 5.40pm.

A police spokeswoman said police had not attended and were not attending the emergency.
