WACO, Texas (KWTX) Local police are looking for the truck driver who fled the scene after a deadly collision late Friday night.
Police said the wreck involved a semi-truck and 4-door sedan. It happened shortly before 8:30 pm Friday on Loop 340 and Idylwood .
The Waco Police Department said that when officers arrived, they found a person in the car dead and another passenger trapped in the vehicle.
The Waco Fire Department worked on the car for “nearly an hour” to free the passenger trapped in the car.
Police said that person was transported to a local hospital and listed “critical condition.”
Waco Police said the driver of the semi-truck "fled from the scene on foot and has not yet been found.”
The cause of the crash is still unknown and identities of victims have not been released pending notification of family.
