The Spirits of the Civic auction: Event benefiting Akron Civic Theatre will be moved to a total online experience May 17-23, 2020. The auction site will be opened for bidding at 8 a.m. May 17 and bidding will end at 9 p.m. May 23. Featuring nearly 80 different items, the auction has something for everyone. POSTPONED Vintage Canton: Downtown Canton’s outdoor wine, craft beer and food event scheduled for May 21 has been postponed. A rescheduled date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed, likely in the fall.

POSTPONED Warriors’ Journey Home 7th Annual Warriors’ Home Journey Gala: The May 22 event at Guy’s Party Center has been postponed. No new date has been chosen. For more information, go https://ift.tt/2Rw2DLI.

Piano-a-thon: The marathon piano concert performed by area piano students will celebrate its 20th year, with a virtual concert June 1-5. Under current circumstances all performances will be virtual and broadcast, with parents' permission, through the Piano-a-thon YouTube channel between June 1-5. All recordings are due by Monday, May 25. Fundraising will remain the same. Students register on the Piano-a-thon website and send emails to family and friends for donations. Money raised during the event will benefit the John C. and Elaine Thompson Piano-a-thon Endowment for Music Therapy. The endowment supports the Akron Children's Hospital Palliative Care Unit, specifically the music therapy department. Visit https://ift.tt/2WCC6hw to donate and for more information. 2nd Annual Urban Vision International Food Festival: Will take place on June 6 as a curbside event. Participants will have an opportunity to taste their way around the world. The community is invited to preorder a variety of foods and schedule pick-up from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Urban Vision, 749 Blaine Ave., Akron. The deliciousness will include Mexican Steak Street Tacos, Nepali Samosas, Classic American BBQ Ribs, Karen Fresh Spring Rolls, Southern Style Mac & Cheese, Indian Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tinga, Karen Noodles and more! Medina Creative Housing 14th Annual Raising the Roof Dinner & Entertainment Charity Benefit: 6 p.m. June 6 at Weymouth Country Club. Enjoy the Medina Creative Housing residents’ “Creative Comedy Crew” skit, indulge in signature dishes from the 1920s, and dance the night away Gatsby style. Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio’s annual Race for Kids: will take place online this year. Participants will still be doing either a 5k run or a 1-mile walk — but at a course and time of their own choosing. Those registering at http://www.bgcneo.org will be mailed an official race T-shirt ahead of the event. They will be encouraged to wear the T-shirt in social media posts or during the run or walk, which can be completed anytime between June 13 and June 27. Competitors can post their times if they wish and post on a race Facebook page. Early bird registration for individuals is $20 and $50 for families, Regular registration, which begins June 1, is $25 for individuals and $60 for families.

Limitless Ambition 5th Annual Ladies of Legacy Brunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1307 E. Market St., Akron. Includes dinner, silent auction, and distinguished speakers from the Northeast Ohio community. This years honorees are: Susan Baker Ross, Summit County Judge; Heather Clayton Terry, Akron advocate, career coach, philanthropist; and Rohnesha M. Horne, philanthropist and marketing consultant.
