The Scott County Sheriff's Office on Thursday identified the dead man as 23-year-old Marquis M. Tousant, of Rock Island, Illinois, which is just across the Mississippi River from Davenport. The sheriff's office didn't say whether Tousant was killed by shots fired by an officer or someone else, and the release of his name came after three days of official silence about the case.
