ALLENTOWN, Pa. | Authorities in Allentown report two people have died and three firefighters were taken to the hospital after a fire late Monday morning on North Fair Street.
Fire crews were dispatched shortly after 11:30 a.m. to a deadly two-alarm house fire in the 700 block of North Fair Street. The home is one block east of North Sixth Street, just north of Tilghman Street.
Allentown fire Chief James Wehr confirmed there are two fatalities, and one other person inside the house was injured. Three firefighters were also taken to the hospital.
A man and a teenage boy were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Lehigh County coroner's office. An autopsy will be performed Tuesday to determine the manner of death.
Along with the coroner's office, the Allentown Police Department and the Allentown Fire Department are investigating the deaths.

As the investigation is ongoing, additional information will be released later, including identification upon notification of the next of kin, the coroner's office said.
However, two sisters under the age of 10 and their teenage brother escaped by jumping out of the second-floor window. The teen was taken to the hospital after injuring his leg on the jump.
Lori Boscov described the scene. "I see this house engulfed in flames. I hear one person screaming fire, fire, fire," Boscov said.
She said she called 911 for the fire at the 700 block of North Fair Street in Allentown.
"The house just started exploding. The wires were coming down and sparks everywhere," she said.
Fire crews arrived on site just after 11:30 a.m.
"They got off the truck and people were instructing them there were people inside," said Allentown Fire Chief Jim Wehr.
Wehr said the two victims were found inside. Family and friends say it's 44-year-old Alberto Santiago and 14-year-old Andres Ortiz.
Wehr says it's not clear where the fire started or how but he did say getting to it initially was tough, as the alleys are tight and full of parked cars.
The three fire fighters are expected to be back at work Tuesday. There is no word on the teen's condition.
The fire is under investigation.
The American Red Cross is putting together a team of volunteers to meet with those affected by the fire, the organization said in a news release. The organization said it is partnering with Promise Neighborhood of the Lehigh Valley and other local organizations and agencies to provide immediate emergency assistance to ensure their needs are being met.
