After some extra preparation, both on the part of families and the campus, first-year Buffs began moving into residence halls the week of Aug. 17. For many, it was an exciting milestone. Newcomers were met by the campus community—staffers, volunteers and peers who helped answer questions, give directions and facilitate a smooth process. Chip, the costumed mascot, also dropped by. Everyone did their part to Protect Our Herd.
