PETERS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – A SWAT team was called to a scene in Peters Township, shutting down roads Monday afternoon.
911 dispatchers confirmed a SWAT situation on East McMurray Road in Peters Township, Washington County.

The Peters Township fire department said the road was closed from Center Church Road to Inverness Drive because of an “active police incident.” People were warned to avoid the area.
East McMurray Road has since reopened and the fire department says the scene isn’t active anymore.
Officials have not said why a SWAT team was called to the scene.
