ALBANY — A crew from the Amazon Prime Video series “Modern Love” is setting up to film in Washington Park.
It appeared the crew were preparing for a picnic scene late Wednesday morning.
Workers from the series, based on the popular The New York Times column of the same name, are expected shoot scenes in and around the park between Wednesday and Friday.
The city plans to close several roads to allow the production company to film in nearby spots on Central Avenue and the Center Square neighborhood.
The show is also being filmed on a sound stage set up at the former Armory in Schenectady.
According to published reports, the first season of “Modern Love,” featuring eight episodes each lasting about a half-hour, was shot in and around New York City.
An anthology-style show with a rotating cast that last season included Tina Fey, Andy Garcia, Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel and Ed Sheeran, “Modern Love” was renewed by Amazon soon after its premiere last fall. It has not announced cast members for the second season, and Legere said he did not know precisely when shooting was supposed to start in the armory.
