Kianna R. Oppy, 17, of Bellefontaine, was treated for minor injuries at the scene of a crash Monday morning by Huntsville EMS personnel, but was not transported from the scene.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a northbound 2008 Honda Civic on U.S. Route 68 at State Route 638 about 4:50 a.m. She reportedly was forced off the road after a southbound vehicle operated by an unknown driver went left of center and into her lane.
The Civic skidded across S.R. 638 and went off the right side of the road, striking the S.R. 638 road sign.
Kianna was not cited, and the crash remains under investigation after the second driver left the scene. Damage was moderate to the Civic, which was towed.
