1 person killed in Arlington shooting, SWAT team at ‘unfolding scene’ nearby with barricaded suspect - The Dallas Morning News

One person was killed in an Arlington shooting Thursday evening, and a police SWAT team was still working an “unfolding scene” hours later with a barricaded suspect.

Officers were called about 6:30 p.m. to North Fielder and West Randol Mill roads, where a shooting had been reported.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

About 10:30 p.m., police said a SWAT team was in the 1900 block of Nueces Trail — just a few blocks from the intersection where the shooting was reported. A suspect was barricaded in a home, police said, calling it an “unfolding scene.”
