The Dodge operated by 32-year-old Ericka J Pillitiere of Fremont, was also traveling in the same direction right behind Ormsbee, according to police.

After Ormsbee was hit and ejected from his motorcycle, Pillitiere told police she came to a stop east of the intersection off the roadway on the south side of SR 120.
Ormsbee landed on the roadway and was struck by another vehicle traveling westbound.
According to police, Ormsbee was able to hobble his way to the side of the road where he received aid from a stopped vehicle which was operated by a nurse.
Police tell us that Ormsbee was airlifted from the scene and taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
SR 120 was shut down for approximately 2 ½ hours while the crash was investigated.
At this time, police are unsure what caused the accident. This incident remains under investigation.
