PORT ORCHARD — They’re back online —Port Orchard City Council meetings are going remote once again.
The City of Port Orchard cited a surge in COVID-19 cases and recommendations from the Kitsap Public Health District and the CDC for announcing the change on Tuesday. Officials are now advising people to mask up indoors in public spaces, even if they have been vaccinated.
Remote meeting information can be found on the City of Port Orchard website, https://ift.tt/3f1u9MA. Meetings will continue to be streamed on the city’s YouTube channel, City of Port Orchard. Advisory committee meetings will also be conducted remotely.
A city news release stated that City Hall and the Community Development Department are open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All visitors are encouraged to wear masks.
