Will Waldron/Times UnionALBANY — Local economic development officials and those from the Port of Albany and Port of Coeymans are going to be promoting the Capital Region this week at the Business Network for Offshore Wind’s International Partnering Forum in Richmond, Va., a large trade show and conference for the offshore wind industry.
The Center for Economic Growth and others are trying to capitalize on new wind turbine assembly operations planned for the Hudson River at port facilities in Albany and Coeymans. Once assembled, the turbines will be used for offshore wind farms being built off Long Island.
