Sex Education Season 3 is finally here and fans are already talking about some of the show's must-see moments.
But one moment they did not anticipate was Rahim's (played by Sami Outalbali) incident on the school bus home from France, which saw the unlikeliest of friendship blossom between him and his ex's new boyfriend, Adam (Connor Swindells).
In Episode 5 of Sex Education, the students of Moordale visit France on a school trip to learn more about trench warfare in World War One. Everything went swimmingly until they embarked on their coach trip home.
Rahim took himself off to the bus toilet, where he got himself into a bit of a pickle. In a desperate attempt to unblock the toilet, he filled his sock with his waste and threw it out of the bus window, hitting the windscreen of the car driving alongside the bus.
If being hit by flying human waste was not traumatizing enough, the French family driving the neighboring car had their window wipers on, which meant Rahim's feces spread all over the front window, nearly causing a crash.
Dubbed "flying feces" by Mr. Hendricks (Jim Howick), the whole scene had audiences at home disgusted and in fits of laughter.
One Sex Education fan tweeted: "i just watched poo get spread over a car i am not fine," while another wrote: "Okay fine I'm already up to episode 5 of sex education and I'm dying with the whole poo thing holy f*** hahah disgusting hilarious.
Others were quick to draw a comparison between the "it's my vagina" scene from the first series and "it's my poo" from the boys of Moordale in season three.
One viewer tweeted: "the way we went from it's my vagina to it's my poo" and another fan wrote: "Lmao It's my poo after It's my vagina" alongside some crying face emoji.
In the scene, Adam stepped forward to prevent Rahim from being publicly humiliated by Mr. Hendricks.
Hendricks had taken it upon himself to find out who the perpetrator was. He asked all of the boys to show him their ankles, in the hope he would find the male student only wearing one sock.
Adam stepped forward after spotting Rahim trying to hide his ankles, announcing it was him who threw the sock out of the bus.
Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) also stepped forward, confessing he too threw the sock out of the window.
Adam and Jackson's admissions were followed by other boys in the class, leading to Mr. Hendricks admitting defeat. The scene mirrored the "its my vagina" scene from season one, when all of the girls in the school stood up at assembly to protect Ruby (Mimi Keene) from being embarrassed during assembly after a picture of her vagina went viral.
In the end, Rahim was left to clean up the mess, but instead of helping the poor French family he had hit, he ran away back onto the bus.
Due to the "flying feces" debacle, all of the students had to get off the bus, with Maeve and Otis coincidently being the only two who did not get back on. Maeve and Otis finally faced up to the whole voicemail-being-deleted-incident from Season Two, with Otis finally admitting he had told Maeve he was in love with her.
Although the scene seemed pretty random, it was the sole reason Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Otis (Asa Butterfield) were left alone, which eventually led them to them kissing.
So, thanks Rahim, your rash decision to throw a sock full of human waste out of a bus window actually led to something great.
