STRONGSVILLE, Ohio
Suspicious person, Pearl Road: On Nov. 8, an employee of a Pearl Road gas station called police about a man who was acting aggressive.
The caller asked for the suspect to be removed from the building because he was acting like he had issues. An arriving officer talked to the Strongsville resident, who said maybe he was having a bad reaction to an infection.
The suspect was given a courtesy ride home.
Drug abuse, Pearl Road: During a Nov. 8 traffic stop of a Dodge on Pearl Road police suspected the driver had drugs.
After a search of the vehicle, the officer arrested the woman driver for drug abuse. Because the woman was pregnant, she wasn’t placed in handcuffs.
Suspicious driver, Pearl Road: On Nov. 8, a concerned passerby called police about a man seen passed out behind the wheel of a white Nissan located in a Pearl Road parking lot.
The caller said the engine was revving now that the driver -- who was twitching -- slid under the steering wheel. The witness also said nobody felt comfortable opening the car door.
An arriving officer located the man, who was awake and smelled like marijuana. The driver passed a field sobriety test. No charges were filed.
Suspicious vehicle, Logan Court: On Nov. 8, a concerned resident who had been walking her dog the night before called police after seeing three males exit a red sedan parked on Logan Court.
She wanted it checked out. The officer did find the vehicle, which had a temporary tag.
Suspicious vehicle, Lunn Road: On Nov. 8, a teacher at Strongsville High School called police after noticing a red Chevy Trailblazer parked in the student parking lot with two
different license plates.
An arriving officer learned the front plate belonged to the Chevy’s previous owner.
The officer did leave a message on the Trailblazer’s owner cell phone to remove the front plate.
