TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Crews were on the scene of a large water-main break early Monday on a busy southeast Topeka street.
The water-main break was reported near the northeast corner of S.E. 29th and Fremont.
Officials were requesting assistance with traffic control in the area around 7:25 a.m. Monday.
Ice had formed in the area of the water-main break by 8 a.m. Monday.
Traffic cones were placed about a block east of the water-main break, closing the right lane of westbound S.W. 29th.
Eastbound traffic on S.E. 29th was able to proceed without interruption .
Another water-main break was reported around 7:15 a.m. Monday at S.W. 24th and Wayne.
