Firefighters were called Wednesday to extinguish a blaze at Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s Southwest Ranches home in Florida, according to reports.
Smoke could be seen over the roof of the home, which was purchased for $6.9 million in 2022 according to property records cited by WSVN 7 News, and was upgraded to a two-alarm fire.
Hill, who is preparing for the Dolphins’ regular-season finale Sunday against the Bills, left practice and “has been in communication with his family,” the organization said in a statement.
“Tyreek has been in communication with his family. Everyone is out of the house and safe at this time. He has also left practice to deal with the situation,” the Dolphins’ statement read, according to WSVN 7 News.
WSVN 7 News reported crews were looking for other possible hotspots around the property.
No injuries have been reported, per WSVN 7 News.
Hill, a seven-time Pro Bowler, is in his second season with the Dolphins.
The 29-year-old wideout began his career with the Chiefs in 2016 and was part of Kansas City’s Super Bowl-winning roster in February 2020.
He was traded to the Dolphins in March 2022 and subsequently signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension.
Through 15 games this season, Hill has 112 receptions for 12 touchdowns and 1,717 yards, which is on pace to be a career-high.
Hill married his fiancée, Keeta Vaccaro, during the Dolphins’ bye week in November.
The Dolphins (11-5) will host the Bills (10-6) on Sunday at 8:20 p.m.
