KENNETT, Mo. (KAIT) - Crews have left the scene of what was a large fire in Kennett.
According to dispatch, the fire was reported around 2 p.m. on Monday at WW Recycling at 2000 Independence Avenue along Highway 25 North.
Kennett Fire Chief Lance Davis told K8 News that upon arrival, firefighters found a metal compactor fully engulfed in flames, with 300 gallons of diesel and hydraulic fluid also contributing to the fire.
It was confirmed around 4 p.m. that the fire was out, and crews had cleared.
No injuries were reported.
