READING, Pa. - The Berks County coroner was called to the scene of a shooting in Reading Monday night.
Police had a very large area taped off at Muhlenberg and South 14th streets.
Officers could be seen walking up and down the sidewalk with flashlights.
Police said they were called to the area around 9 p.m.
Police have confirmed that a shooting took place and that they were alerted a male was shot.
The coroner's office was on scene.
A couple neighbors told 69 News said they could hear gunshots.
One person said they were asleep and woke up when they heard shots fired.
