WALKER COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - According to the Crabb’s Prairie Volunteer Fire Department in Walker County, a call for a building fire was received around 6:00 Sunday morning.
Several departments in the county, as well as North Montgomery County responded to Ave. S at IH 45. This is just off the north fwy service road in Huntsville and is the location of Dekapoli’s Barbershop and commercial building next door.
Upon arrival, Crabb’s Prairie VFD says an additional alarm was added due to the intensity of the fire.
Firefighters from Huntsville, Dodge, New Waverly and North Montgomery County were all on the scene.
Hours later, at 11:15, crews were released.
There is no word on the cause of the fire at this time.
