The scene at Titans coach Mike Vrabel’s house Thursday night for NFL Draft 2020 was a piece of art.
Every time you looked at it, there was something different to focus on — all of it bordering on bizarre.
Front and center, there was Vrabel, who had just taken Georgia tackle Isaiah Wilson with the 29th pick, appearing to spit out dipping tobacco into a cup.
Behind Vrabel’s left shoulder, there was a kid with a blond mustache and mullet wearing Vrabel’s Pro Bowl jersey from his days as a Patriots linebacker. Behind his right shoulder was another kid dressing up like Frozone from “The Incredibles,” in Titans colors.
Then there was another kid seen in the reflection of a door, who Twitter detectives immediately thought was on a toilet. He was leaning on his bare knees, but upon further inspection, may not have forgotten to close the door after all — he appeared to just have shorts on.
Vrabel later cleared up the madness, telling reporters that his son Tyler — an offensive lineman at Boston College — was actually just on a stool, not the toilet.
The Vrabel household did have a long time to wait to see themselves on TV with the Titans’ selection. It happened shortly before midnight, giving plenty of time for costumes and hairdos to be figured out for national TV.
