JACKSON, MI -- No one was injured in a suspicious shooting in Jackson Tuesday afternoon, but a vehicle spotted at the scene could be connected to other incidents, police said.
At about 3:36 p.m. on Sept. 14, Jackson police officers responded to several calls reporting shots fired near N. Blackstone and Adams streets.
Officers found two shell casings at the scene, said Sergio Garcia, Jackson Police Department deputy chief. No building, person or vehicle appeared to have been struck, Garcia said.
Witness said they saw a silver vehicle leave the scene after the shooting, Garcia said.
Police believe the possible suspect vehicle has been involved in additional shootings in the Jackson area, Garcia said, adding that no further description of the vehicle is being released so it doesn’t interfere with the ongoing investigation.
