QQ: Is There a Post-Credits Scene in 'Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse'? - Cosmopolitan

I’m gonna be real here—there are too many damn Spider-Man movies. I mean, we got the Tobey Maguire original, the Andrew Garfield remake, and then there’s the Tom Holland soft reboot. So when Sony announced an animated Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, I was soooo not interested in watching another Peter Parker origin story. But then I saw the trailer and Miles Morales and well, I was sold.

That was in 2018 and now five years later, the long-awaited sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is finally here! And per the trailer (which you can check out above), the second film looks better than the first. I mean, we have another star-stellar cast featuring Daniel Kaluuya as Punk Spider-Man, the fabulous Issa Rae as Spider-Woman, and Oscar Issac as our hero-that’s-sort-of-a-villain, Spider-Man 2099 aka Miguel O’Hara. Then, there’s the ah-freaking-mazing soundtrack filled with bangers and bops that might even rival the 2018’s soundtrack.

Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the ending will you have on the edge of your seat, popcorn thrown in the air, and mouths hung open in shock. Cause if you thought Into the Spider-Verse’s conclusion, was crazy, well, there’s nothing going to prepare you for the sequel’s post-credit scene.

Here’s everything you need to know about Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse's post-credit scene.

Ahem *spoilers*

Is there a mid-credits or post-credits scene in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse?

The directors did us dirty because there are no mid-credits or post-credits scenes. The film ends on a cliffhanger with Miles being kidnapped by another version of himself (like a Miles from different Earth kidnaps the protagonist Miles) and Gwen Stacy gathers a new group of Spider-people to come to rescue him.

Wait, what? So, the film just ends midway through the story?

Ummm, yeah! Basically. There are a bunch of plot holes left in the sequel like Miguel O’Hara who has some weird vendetta against Miles and wants to stop him from saving his father. And the actual villain of the story, though that’s debatable, Spot, wants to kill Miles’ dad as revenge. Revenge for what? Kinda not clear.

But what we do know is that Miles will return in 2024 for the third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Sucks, but hey, at least it’s not another five years! Take your blessings where you can find them or however the saying goes.
